New foreign-funded projects okayed

The Hanoi Times - The PM just agreed that the People’s Committee of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue will take over the humanitarian project "Landmine clearance and poverty eradication for Quang Vinh Commune." The o­ne-year project receives a non-refundable aid of €350,366.32 from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The PM also approved the additional list of eight vocational training schools which will be granted with assistance capital from the German Government to purchase equipment.


These institutes include Long An Vocational High School, Tam Diep Electrical Engineering and Construction College, Railway Vocational College 1, Phu Yen Vocational College, Hai Dương Vocational College, Bac Ninh Vocational High School, Da Nang Shipping Industry Vocational High School and Thua Thien-Hue Vocational High School.


Authorized by the Government chief, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam signed with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) a credit agreement for the Ho Chí Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Highway.

The project requires a total investment capital of US $932.4 million
